

Ellie Fossaceca, 19, of Ashland, died Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation following a courageous battle for the past 13 years with a brain tumor. Ellie always remained strong, brave and never ever complained.
Born August 29, 1996 in Ashland, she was the daughter of Gary and Rebecca (Cole) Fossaceca.
Ellie was a graduate of St. Edward Elementary School and a 2015 graduate of Ashland High School. She was involved in Girl Scouts and attended St. Edward Catholic Church where she was involved with the Youth Group and sang in the choir. She enjoyed art, music ~ especially Elvis Presley songs ~, playing drums, rock hunting and making gifts, especially bracelets to give to anyone to remember her and brighten their day. Ellie loved telling jokes and was known for her happy go lucky attitude. Being one that never complained, she brought joy to whomever she met making an impression on her doctors, nurses and anyone else she came in contact with.
She is survived by her parents, Gary and Rebecca Fossaceca of Ashland; her loving twin sister, Katherine E. Fossaceca of Ashland and her adoring little sister, Abigail R. Fossaceca of Ashland; aunts and uncles, Pat and Doug Deane of Ashland and Mary and Ron Cuffman of Ashland, Robert and Gayle Fossaceca of Wake Forest, North Carolina and Mary and Dennis Keener of Youngstown, Ohio; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ora Morton and Vivian Cole; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Louise Fossaceca.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at St. Edward Catholic Church conducted by Rev. Father Rodney Kreidler. Burial will follow in Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland. In the spirit of Ellie's generosity, memorial contributions may be made to St. Edward Catholic School.
