
Elizabeth 'Liz' Roberts, 75, of Mansfield, died August 30, 2005, at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. She went home to be with her Lord Tuesday morning after an extended battle with breast cancer. Born October 17, 1929, in Louisa, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ernest and Agnes Thompson Perry. A Mansfield area resident since 1960, she attended Community Baptist Bible Church. Liz retired from Gray Drug Store after 25 years of service. She was a member of V.F.W. Post #3494 Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Roberts and his wife, Gail of Bellville, and Robin Roberts and his fiancée, Kelly Griffith of Butler; two daughters, Judy Myers and Annette Roberts, both of Mansfield; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Verna Chaffin of Mansfield and Irene Poe of Ontario; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John B. Roberts in 1969, two brothers, Everett and Chester Perry and an infant sister, June Perry.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, September 1, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Mel Hobson. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund.
