
Ella Mae Ryder, 60 of 1573 E. McElroy Rd. died unexpectedly Saturday evening, March 31, 2001, in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born on October 11, 1940 in Lawrence County, OH, living here since 1963. Ella was a member of the First United Methodist Church, TYTQ too young to quit group at the church, the American Legion McVey Post #16 Auxiliary, Secretary North End Reunion, A.A.R.P. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the times she had with her grandchildren. She was a loving, caring and self-sacrificing person. Ella enjoyed baking and canning and was a great cook. She enjoyed all sports and was a Cleveland Indians fan.
Surviving are her husband Bill J. Ryder, four daughters and son-in-laws; Linda and Gregg Gleisinger and Annette and Craig Gandert all of Mansfield, Cheryl and Phil Mayton of Lexington, and Starla Taylor of Mansfield, one son and daughter-in-law; Michael J. and Bev Ryder of Mansfield, four grandchildren Nicole Mayton, Ryan Ryder, Eric Gleisinger and Will Gandert, her mother; Dorothy Taylor Miller of Waterloo, OH, one sister and her fiancée Dianna Miller and John Henderson of Mansfield, four brothers and sisters-in-law; Gene and Merri Miller and Don and Evelyn Miller all of Mansfield, Tom and Iris Miller of Waterloo, OH, Wilbert and Reggie Miller of Grayson, KY and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father Benjamin Thomas Miller, an infant son; Vincent Earl Taylor, one brother; Benjamin Junior Miller.
Friends may call Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home conducted by Dr. Roger Smith. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery.
