

Elzie F. “Preach” Setser, age 76, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, January 3, 2013 at home. He was born December 20, 1936 in Chattaroy, West Virginia to the late Benjamin Frank and Naomi (Mollett) Setser.
He retired from Flexible Steel. Preach was a member of Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He enjoyed fishing and most especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband to wife, Joyce “Aline” Thompson Setser who passed away on February 10, 2012.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory daughter, Ella (Mark) Goheen of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Frank Andrew Setser of Mansfield, Raymond W. Goheen and Mark D.G. Goheen, both of Mount Vernon; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Hagans, Kyri J. Setser, Janyka A. Goheen, Alanna Goheen and Kierra Goheen; two sisters, Beulah “Boot” Lemaster of Mansfield and Joy (Willie) Pack of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Elmer and Elbert Setser; and two sisters, Margaret Setser and Thelma Ernsberger.
Friends and family may visit from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Clifford Earl Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Bunker Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
