
Ema Jean Coffey, 69, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at her home. Born April 13, 1938 in Shelby, she was the daughter of Charles R. and Cordelia Norton Blosser. She retired from Ontario High School after 30 years of service. Mrs. Coffey attended the Free Methodist Church in Ontario. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Ruth Chapter #17, the Fraun Chorus, and the Mansfield Symphony Chorus. Mrs. Coffey loved her family. An avid reader, she also loved gardening, flowers, antiquing, attending auctions, and spending time with her many friends.
She is survived by her husband, Gene E. Coffey; sons, Kim Douglas Rebecca Coffey of Columbus, and Steven Charles Connie Coffey of Vandalia; grandchildren, Sarah, Adam, Stephanie, Michael Coffey; brothers, Charles Bridgette Blosser of Royal Oak, Michigan; sister, Glenna Lee Don Dunkin of Mason; nieces and nephews, Julaine Bierl, Vanessa Lewis, John Coffey, Cindy Patterson, and Chuck Coffey; and special friend, Ruth Pittenger. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Ontario Free Methodist Church, 2200 Bedford Ave., Ontario conducted by Rev. Jim Carder. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
