Eula Allen

Eula C. Allen, age 96, formerly of LaSalle St., Mansfield, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Heritage Care Center in Shelby, following an extended illness. She was born April 8, 1905 in Junior, W. Va. to Emery and Lucresia Edmond Shomo. During her life, Mrs. Allen had worked at the Air Force Depot in Shelby and at Shelby Cycle. Throughout her entire life, Eula's greatest enjoyment was planning, selecting, and planting flowers for her home. She was an independent woman who was very loving and close to her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her sons, Robert Allen of Mansfield, Lynn Allen of Mansfield, Charles Allen of Shelby, Sam Allen of Pensecola, Florida, and Harold Allen of San Raphael, California; daughters, Colleen Vanasdale of Mansfield, Evelyn Pfahler of Galion and Elaine Lorzell of Winfield, Ill.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin P. Allen, a son, Harley Allen and a daughter, Janet Allen.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Monday, March 18 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. Steven Bond. Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park.
