A born leader, Evelyn could organize and plan events with ease and loved doing so. Some of her favorite events to plan were family gatherings and church events. She was "mom" to everyone and had such a big heart with much love to share. Evelyn was an accomplished pianist and shared those talents with others by teaching piano lessons and playing at church. She was a current member of Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church and previous member of Mansfield Freewill Baptist Church where she served as a youth leader for more than 40 years. Talented in many ways Evelyn was an exceptional baker with pies, birthday cakes and wedding cakes being some of the many delicious treats she shared often. Evelyn loved gardening, canning and watching Wheel of Fortune. The one thing that certainly stands out about Evelyn was her strong will to survive. Even through all of her many health issues, she remained very determined and a true servant of the Lord.
