Evelyn Wolf

Evelyn E. Wolf, 101, of Ashland, passed away Friday morning, June 26, 2015, at Crystal Care Center of Ashland. The daughter of the late Peter and Eva (Klein) Michels, was born February 16, 1914, in Mansfield, the last of six children.

On October 30, 1936, she married Charles R. Wolf, at the First English Lutheran Church in Mansfield. Charles passed away in May of 1993, after 56 years of marriage.

After moving to Ashland in 1944, they joined Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught Catechism and sang in the choir. Evelyn was a member and past President of the Emblem Club of Ashland and a member of the Daughters of Herman in Mansfield.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

She is survived by three sons, Stanley (Constance) Wolf of Ashland, James (Nidia) Wolf of Albion, MI, and Dennis (Suzanne) Wolf of Ashland; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service for the family will be held at Ashland County Memorial Park at a later date. The Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
