
Fay Guernsey Pilliod, 98, formerly of Bellville died Monday afternoon, March 11, 2002 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby. Born March 3, 1904 in Chicago, Illinois, she lived in Whitehouse, Ohio for many years. Fay was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, sewing and baking for her family. She also loved to travel.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Iris J. and Robert Pershing of Mansfield; her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas P. and Jean Guernsey of Maumee, Ohio; son-in-law, Charles Jenkins of Durham, North Carolina; six grandchildren and their spouses, Ellen S. and Richard Gerich and Jenifer L. and Michael Lomeli, all of Mansfield, Lisa R. and Ralph Baker, all of West Millgrove, Ohio, Kelly Guernsey of Rudolph, Ohio, Susan E. and Jeff Morro of Oneill, Neb., and David and Elaine Guernsey of Weston, Ohio; nine great-grandchildren, Julia and Rebecca Lomeli of Mansfield, Douglas Baker of West Millgrove, Sean, Melodie and Kyle Zachel, all of Rudolph, Randy, Tasha and Sonet Guernsey of Weston; and one great-great-grandson, Douglas Anthony Baker of West Millgrove. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Guernsey, second husband, Dr. John V. Pilliod, daughter, Dr. Judith A. Jenkins, and two sisters, Mamie Erny and Lillie Schultz.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 14 at White House Cemetery, White House, Ohio at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Michael L. Denman of Church of the Cross U.M.C. in Maumee. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the donor's choice.
