

Florence Lykins, 98, of Mansfield, passed away on October 22, 2015 at home surrounded by loved ones after a long illness. Born September 22, 1917 in Ironton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Hall) Noble. Florence was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed gardening and fishing. She truly enjoyed caring for her family, especially her children, great-children, and great-great-grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart.
Surviving are her children, John "JD" (Vikki) Lykins, Connie Lee (John) Skovranek, Donna (Thomas) Yankovich, Jerry Lykins, all of Mansfield, and James Simmons of Kettering, Ohio; thirty six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friend, Teresa Thompson.
Along with her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, John Lykins; brothers, James Noble and Lace Noble; sister, Doris Burton; maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents; children, Bill Simmons, Judy Stienbergie, Pauline Lykins, and Carolyn Patton; grandsons, Andrew Lykins and Timothy Simmons; great-grandson, Stephen Lee; and daughter-in-law, Tammy (Smith) Lykins.
A special thanks to granddaughters Rebecca Lykins McNair and Amy Stiteler, good friend Teresa Thompson, OhioHealth Hospice, and the staff at Star Home Health Care for the great care given to grandma during this time.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Family and friends are invited to visit for one hour prior to the service, from 12-1 p.m. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery
