
Floyd W. Roberts, 81 of 157 Reba Ave. died Friday September 22, 2000 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mr. Roberts was born November 22, 1918 in Knox County, Ohio residing in the Mansfield area most of his life. He retired from Mansfield Tire and Rubber as a Technical Consultant. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, VFW Post of Perrysville, Ohio; Air Force Association; and
P .O. W. Chapter of Wooster. Mr. Roberts was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Wappner Roberts; two daughters, Kathy Roberts, Wheat Ridge, Colorado; and Linda Welch of Caledonia, Ohio; one granddaughter; one step-grandson; one sister, Mary Horn of Loudonville, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto R. and Effie Elaine Roberts; and five brothers, Rupert, Harry, Carroll, Melvin, Verdis Roberts.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Sunday September 24, 2000 from 2-5 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services which will be held on Monday September 25, 2000 at 11:30 a.m. conducted by the Dr. George Lambert and Dr. Wray C. Smith. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
