
Frank S. Kmetz, 96, of Mansfield, died Monday, August 16, 2010 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born June 25, 1914 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of John and Anna Sedlak Kmetz. He retired from Westinghouse in 1975 after 42 years of service. A member of St. Peter's Catholic Church for over 70 years, he also sang in the choir. Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus #687, 3rd and 4th Degree, Retmans Club, and Westinghouse 20 Year Club.
He is survived by two daughters, Julianne Kmetz of Wheaton, Illinois, and Anita Holloway of Mansfield; three sons and daughter-in-law, Frank Jr. Barbara Kmetz of Atlanta, Georgia, Kenneth Kmetz of Burlington, Wisconsin, and Keith Kmetz of Mansfield; grandchildren, Erin Nicola Holloway of Virginia, Rachel Matt Schag of Bellville, Stephen Kmetz Nikalina, David Kristen Kmetz all of Burlington, Wisconsin, and Thomas Kmetz of Atlanta, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Neve and Anna Holloway, and Hudson and Sophia Schag; sister, Mary Frasz of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace E. Kmetz in December 2006; and brother, John Kmetz, Jr.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monsignor Dunn Foundation.
