

Frank Dillon Mitchell, 85, of Bellville, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby. A lifelong resident of Bellville, he was born to Annie (Mooneyham) Mitchell on April 30, 1937.
Frank was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army, proudly serving from 1955-1958. He worked at the Westinghouse where he met his wife, Christine (Tackett) Mitchell. He later retired as a truck driver from Falcon Transport. Frank was a hardworking man and always made sure to provide and care for his family. He loved his family with such an unconditional love, his actions and words will never be forgotten. Frank was a handyman and could fix anything. He enjoyed caring for his horses and being in his cowboy boots. He was a regular blood donor with the American Red Cross.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Christine (Tackett) Mitchell; children, Rick Ernsberger and Terry Mitchell; brother, Richard Mitchell; grandchildren, Ember Ernsberger, Logan Ernsberger and Jessica Sheperd; special friend, Sharon Daugherty; numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mitchell; brother, Junior Mitchell, sister, Mary Crider, son, Steven Jay Mitchell; and daughter, Carrie Ernsberger.
No services will be held at this time. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
