

Fred A. Chapman, Sr., age 64, of Mansfield, died Sunday morning January 25, 2004 at home following a brief illness. Mr. Chapman was born March 15, 1939 in Lee County, Kentucky living in the Mansfield area most of his life. He was owner/operator of Chapman Trucking working with Truckload Connection until retirement. Mr. Chapman was a member of Mansfield Baptist Temple. He was an avid fan of dirt track racing and Nascar racing.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Marilyn Bauer Chapman; two sons, Fred Chapman Jr. and Michael Chapman and special friend Sheila Hamilton all of Mansfield; five granddaughters, Michelle, Marissa, Desiree, Tara, & Olivia; a sister, Dorothy Deaton of Michigan; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Claude & Eva Chapman of Michigan, David Chapman Jr. and Carl & Joy Chapman all of Mansfield; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert & Sondra Schnuerer, Ronald & Wanda Bauer and Ken & Julie Bauer all of Mansfield and Ed & Karen Foss of Canada; a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Sr. & Iva Plumber Chapman; his stepfather, Ed Noblet; four brothers; two daughters, Tammie & Brenda Lee and two sons, Bayne & Ronald.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Dale Adkins. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
