Fred Scott

Fred W. Scott, 87, of Bellville died unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, August 8, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born July 5, 1914, in Paris, Ontario, Canada to Fred R. and Ada Day Scott. He retired from Westinghouse in 1975 after 41 years as a welder/repairman. Mr. Scott was a member of the Trimble Road Gospel Assembly Church.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathryn B. Rice Scott of Bellville; one daughter-in-law, Judy Scott of Fairfield, Ohio; two grandsons, Bryan Scott of Cincinnati, Ohio and Todd Scott of Akron, Ohio; one great-grandson, Zachary Scott; two brothers, Bruce Scott of Mansfield and Jim Scott of Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews. His parents, Fred and Ada Scott, son, Larry Scott whom died in August 1997, three sisters and four brothers, preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday, August 10, 2001 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 11, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Wayne Harris of Trimble Road Gospel Assembly Church. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gospel Assembly Church.
