George Arnett

George Paul "Bub" Arnett, 72, of Mansfield, died Monday afternoon, December 27, 2004 at his home. Born December 20, 1932, in Ashland, Kentucky, he was the son of Boone Sr. and Susie Allen Arnett. He was a graduate of Boyd County High School. He retired from the Sons of Herman and was a member of Ridgeway First Church of God, baptized on June 1, 2003. An avid golfer, with nine holes-in-one, he enjoyed mowing his lawn, gardening and listening to country music.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Beal Arnett; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon L. Griffith and Terrie J. and Michael Zumbro, all of Mansfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, George E. 'Butch' and Debbie Arnett of Phoenix, Arizona and Robert D. 'Bob' and Rose Arnett of North Hero, Vermont; seven grandchildren, Jamie, Shannon, Angi, April, Josh, Amy and Bobbie; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Boone Arnett of Mansfield and R.C. Arnett of Ashland, Kentucky; and three sisters, Ruth Stephens, Juanita Vanhoose and Donna Moore, all of Ashland, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Judy Sue Arnett and two brothers, Joe and Larry Arnett.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, December 30 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor John Dodds. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Ridgeway First Church of God or MedCentral Hospice.
