
George A. Peterson, 66 of 1962 Cheshire Commons Court in Columbus, Ohio died at home October 6, 2000. Mr. Peterson was born October 4, 1934 in Canton, Ohio residing in the Mansfield area most of his life, moving to Columbus ten years ago. He had worked at Mansfield Tire and Rubber, retired from OSU Medical Center and was currently working for Pinkerton Security at Delphi in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Peterson was a member of Unity Church of Columbus and a veteran of the United States Naval Reserve.
Surviving are his wife, Judith C. Peterson of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Debra Binkley and Robin Cox both of Mansfield; three step-sons, Douglas Beeler and Christopher Beeler both of Canal Winchester, Ohio; and Michael Beeler of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Scott, Krystal, Angela, Kristopher, Maygan, Jacob and Katie; one great-grandson, Zachary; one brother, Donald Peterson of Youngstown, Ohio; and one sister, Barbara Reiter of Lexington, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, George A. Sr. and Agnes Flickinger Peterson; and his first wife, Doris Marlene Peterson.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Monday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Mary Lake Farley of United Church. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Unity Church 4211 Maize Road, Columbus, Ohio 43224.
