Gernith Ropp

Gernith Elma Hallack Ropp, 88, of Sugar Creek Township, formerly of Mansfield, died Sunday August 10, 2003 at Heartland of Centerville in Centerville, Ohio. Mrs. Ropp was born August 23, 1914 in Flushing, Michigan. She was formerly co-owner of Ropp's Ven-Mark-ket in Mansfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard O. Ropp in 1995 and her sister, Donna Bolesky. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Trudy and Joseph Westbrock of Sugar Creek Township, with whom she resided; three grandchildren and their spouses, Jeff and Gretchen Westbrock of Jackson, Florida; B.J. and Lisa Westbrock of Bellbrook; and Jennifer L. and Bradley Midtlien of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Thursday, August 14, 2003 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with funeral services being held at 1:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Cloyd Kress Burial will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Arcadia Unit at The Heartland of Centerville, 1001 E. Alex-Bell Rd., Centerville, Ohio 45459 in Gernith's name.
