Gilbert Martin Rush, Jr., 49, of Mansfield died Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Born November 23, 1957, in Mansfield, the son of Gilbert Martin Sr. and Reneda Adkins Rush. He was a landscaper and worked with a local Tree Service. He loved hunting, fishing and being with his family.
He is survived by his father, Gilbert and Jaqueline Rush, Sr.; mother, Reneda Rush; three sons, Jacob Bobbi Jo Dick Rush, John Kristin Blevins Rush, and Harry Rush; daughter, Tiffany Jeffries; grandson, Kameron Rush; two sisters, Val Rush and Janet McGuire; two brothers, Jonnie Rush and Tom Rush; two half brothers, Steven Henry and Jan Henry; girlfriend, Melissa Hedrick; several aunts and uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his half brother, David Henry.
Friends may call Wednesday, March 7 from 5-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Marc Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
