Glenn Gehrke

Glenn Herbert Gehrke, 69 of Mansfield, died Tuesday morning October 26, 2004 after an extended illness. Born January 10, 1935 in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of William and Frieda Smith Gehrke. He served in the United States Naval Reserves and retired from General Motors in January 1992. He was a member of Living Waters Community Church, the UAW Local 549, and a poetry club. Mr. Gehrke was a car enthusiast. He will be sadly missed by his church family.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Ruth Petsch Gehrke; two sons, Gary Gehrke and Randy and his wife, Anja Gehrke all of Mansfield; one daughter, Cynthia Gehrke of Louisville, Kentucky; two sisters, Kay Lockwood and Beverly Wells, both of Tennessee; one brother, William Gehrke of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday October 30, 2004 at the Living Waters Community Church with Pastor Ronald E. Miller, Sr. officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Living Waters Community Church. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
