
Gloria J. Williams, 83, of Mansfield, died Friday, June 10, 2016 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Born July 23, 1932 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Dorothy (Cotanovich) Stahl and was lovingly raised by her grandmother.
She retired from MedCentral Hospital where she was a unit clerk following over 37 years of service. She was open minded, generous and a jovial person who always worried about others. She played the piano and bass violin and enjoyed country music. She was a former member of the Ohio County Music Association, loved to travel and was a BINGO fanatic. Following World War II, she worked as a Rosie the Riveter for Martin Air Corporation.
She is survived by two sons, Frank Williams of Mansfield and Rick (Jane) Williams of Polk; three grandchildren, Brandy, Michael and Ben; two step grandchildren, Charles and Angela; and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Samuel Williams; and two daughters, Deborah Jean Williams and Sondra Ruth Williams.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Private burial will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
