Grace Workman

Grace Elizabeth Workman, 87, died early Monday morning, April 25, 2005 at Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney, Ohio. She had formerly resided at The Waterford in Mansfield, Ohio. She was born on January 26, 1918 in Mount Vernon, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clyde Dayton Teeter and Margaret Parkinson Teeter. She married Raymond Harold Workman July 26, 1939, and he preceded her in death on March 7, 1986.

Mrs. Workman is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Paul Janice Workman of Anna, Ohio and daughter and son-in-law, Carol Robert Izer of Orange, Texas; four grandchildren, Sherri Scholl, Dr. Kimberly Izer, Ann Bullard and Dr. James Izer; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters Florence Vian, Frances Frye and Ethel Taylor; brother Ralph Teeter and great grandson Matthew Scholl.

She was an assembler for 22 years at Hartman Electric Company. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and active in the TYTQ group there; was a Salvation Army volunteer and active in AARP.

The family will receive friends at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 South Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield, Ohio Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Charles Tobias officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army in Mansfield.
