Gwen was a 1990 graduate of Clear Fork High School and attended cosmetology school. She worked at Twisted Scissors and Lex Charm throughout her career. Gwen also helped her husband in all aspects of his remodeling business, especially painting the client's homes. She had a knack for interior design and enjoyed sharing her ideas with others and making her home a beautiful showpiece. Gwen enjoyed being outdoors, mowing the lawn and, most especially, boating with her family and friends.
Helping others was important to Gwen and she would go out of her way to help someone. She was very family oriented and made certain each member knew how much she loved them. In return, she was loved by everyone. One of her favorite things was playing pranks on her sister. Gwen was full of love and life and her kind, loving nature, and beautiful eyes and smile, will be treasured through the memories of those who loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Darell Hyder, whom she married on May 14, 2005; two children, Christopher Weemhoff and Cody Weemhoff; three step daughters, Megan Moore, Melanie Hyder and Haley Hyder; five grandchildren, Zayn, Jayden, Tessa, Dylan and Remington; her parents, Gail Chappelear and Garry Yoakam; sister, Gina (Corey) Davis; and niece and nephew, Teigan and Ashton.
