Hannah M. Shasky

On Monday, October 3, 2022, Hannah (Hildebrand) Shasky, age 86, of Ontario, Ohio passed away after an extended illness. She was born August 9, 1936 in Butler, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Thelma (Ethel) Hildebrand.

Hannah was a sister to Viola, Naomi, Dorothy, Kennetha, Margaret, Marylin, Kenneth and Samuel. In 1955 she married the love of her life, Kenneth Shasky, and together they had four children, Lavonne, Annette, Michele and Kenneth Jr. Together they enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing and made many life-long friends along the way. Hannah’s greatest adventures include traveling to all 50 states, many vacations and camping trips with her four grandchildren. She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson as well, especially taking pictures with them to forever cherish the special memories made. She was an incredible baker and spent many years perfecting her pie and cookie recipes. Hannah will be greatly missed.

Hannah is survived by her children, Annette Watkins and Michele Shasky; four grandchildren, Robert Dean (Summer) Scheffler, Ryan (Leigh) Scheffler, Joyce (Randy) Glascock and Janet Ditty; seven great-grandchildren, Kristy, Jordyn, Morgan, Joshua, Matthew, Jonathan and Autumn; great-great-grandson, Landen; and siblings, Viola, Naomi, Kennetha, Margaret, Marilyn and Samuel.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Shasky; daughter, Lavonne; infant son, Kenneth Jr.; sister, Dorothy; and brother, Kenneth.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, Ohio 44902. There will be a funeral service to follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dallas E. Waggle officiating. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery.
