

Harry attended schools in Mansfield and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Yosemite and, later, in the occupation of Japan. He was honorably discharged in 1946. Harry worked as a supervisor at Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield and Aiken, South Carolina, retiring in 1991. He and his wife, Kathryn, relocated to Lake Placid, Florida, in 1995. They moved to Sebring, Florida in 2002 and returned to Mansfield in September of 2005.
Harry was a former member of Diamond Hills Baptist Church and currently was a member of Berean Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn, with whom he would have celebrated 68 years of marriage on December 14; two children, Sandra Leeper of Mansfield, Ohio, and Larry (Diane) Leeper of Florence, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Kevin (Crystal) Leeper and Andrew Leeper; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Andonach, Martha Cyphers and Mary Siegfried.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park with Pastor James Berry officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
