Hazel Bennett

Hazel Evelyn Judy Garver Bennett, 70, of Mansfield, died early Tuesday morning, March 6, 2007 at Woodlawn Nursing and Rehabilitation after a long illness. Mrs. Bennett was born to Helen Herr Garver and Harold L. Garver on March 5, 1937. She was a graduate of Union High School, Class of 1956. Mrs. Bennett was currently a member of Community Baptist Bible Church in Mansfield.

Survivors include her husband, Esko Bennett; son, William 'Bill' Marilyn Bunn of Mansfield; daughter, Heather Renee Bunn of Marysville; six step grandchildren; one step great-granddaughter; brother, David Margo Garver of Bellville; uncle, Neil Garver of Mansfield; two aunts, Odessa Sell of Lexington and Joyce Rinehart of Tucson, AZ; several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death is her late husband, Richard L. Bunn, and parents, Harold L. and Helen Garver.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors officiated by Pastor James Spencer of Peoples Baptist Church. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Christian Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
