Hazel Tucker, 81, of Mansfield died Monday evening, October 28, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Hazel was born August 19, 1921 in Tuckerdale, North Carolina and moved to Mansfield in January 2002 from Abbes Valley, Virginia. She was a homemaker and loved to read her Bible. She was a member of Hillside First Church of God.
She is survived by a sister, Doris Tucker of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Randolph and Ida Miller Tucker; six brothers, Gaither, Cecil, Roy, Everett, Oscar and Russell Tucker; and two sisters, Viola Gheen and Beulah Compton.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Wednesday, October 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday at 1:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. Glenn Phillips. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
