Heather graduated from Madison Comprehensive High School and went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Psychology from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She later retired as a supervisor from Lumen after many years of dedicated service.
Heather was always there for others. Assertive and determined, she enjoyed a good debate—and especially winning it. She was loving, compassionate, and empathetic, with her children and family always being her top priority.
She dearly loved her cats and found joy in simple pleasures like fishing from a pontoon boat. Clearfork Reservoir was her favorite place for peace and meditation, where she especially enjoyed camping and gathering around campfires.
Those that knew Heather well knew how much time she dedicated to watching reality TV, she especially liked TLC and The Food Network.
Heather had a deep appreciation for the arts. She loved viewing artwork and experimenting with different art forms herself. She generously volunteered her time with The Mansfield Playhouse, the Richland County Humane Society, and the Gay Pride Association for more than seven years.
She also loved attending sporting events and concerts with family and friends, and she took great pride in supporting her children in all of their pursuits and accomplishments.
Heather is survived by daughter, Trenna Paxton; two sons, Michael Weaver and Liam Paxton (Paityn Hall); mother, Sue Greenawalt; three brothers, Zeke (Kellie) Ruby, Nick (Gina) Greenawalt, and Tim Hamilton; sister, Jill (Touby) McMillen; and six nieces and nephews, Mason, Markie, Hayden, Mya, CeCe, and Miles; and many other relatives (aunts, uncles, and cousins) and wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her cousin, Devin Alexander.
