
Heinrich Dech, Jr., 71, of Mansfield, died Monday, August 22, 2005, at Lexington Court Care Center after an extended illness. Born April 5, 1934, in Yugoslavia, he was the son of Heinrich Sr. and Katharina Giesse Dech. He retired from General Motors in the tool and die department. He was a member of the Liederkranz and enjoyed playing and watching soccer. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Helen Dech of Lucas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Chris Niswander and Sue and Jerry Beaver, all of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Chad Stephanie Dech of Columbus, Kyle Dech, Matthew Anderson, Christopher Lester and Robin Lester, all of Mansfield; four great-grandchildren; sister, Heidi Dech of Arlington, Va.; and niece, Rosalie Dech of Arlington, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Christopher Dech.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, August 25, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. Faith Proietti. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice.
