Henry Fields

Henry C. Fields, 66, of Mansfield, died Sunday, November 30, 2008, at MedCentral Mansfield. Born February 14, 1942, in Virgie, Kentucky, he was the son of Henry T. and Julia Calhoun Fields. He retired from General Motors after 23 years of service, had a strong work ethic and was an avid outdoorsman. Henry was the world's greatest husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Patcel Little Fields; two daughters, Sarah Jon Carlson of Berea and Sherry Fields of Lexington; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Elizabeth, Kailee Michelle and Nathan Henry Carlson; three brothers, Jesse Donna Fields, Chalmer Pauline Fields all of Mansfield and Jeff Fran Fields of Bellville; one sister, Helen Joe Triscari of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters-in-law, Hanna Fields and Lucy Burke; father-in-law, Truby Little, Sr.; and two brothers-in-law, Truby Little, Jr. and Mark Cains.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2008, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2008, at the funeral home conducted by Rev. J. Hudson Thayer. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
