

Henry Ford Stricklin, a dedicated father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Lexington Court Care Center. Born on September 8, 1940, to the late Cotrell Burkett and Ivola Stricklin Patterson, Henry lived a life full of hard work, passion, and a deep love for the things that brought him joy.
Henry retired from Ohio Brass as an Iron Pourer. He was an avid outdoorsman who found peace in hunting, fishing, and barbecuing. He took great pride in his lawn, always ensuring it was meticulously maintained and a testament to his love of the land. His greatest and most cherished endeavor was as owner/operator of Hank’s Ole Tyme Bar-B-Q where he traveled and competed on the barbecue circuit sharing his love of good food and good company with everyone.
Henry is survived by his daughters, Toni Stricklin and Veronica Stricklin; his siblings, William (Verlene) Patterson, Betty Patterson Barnes, Thomas (Coretta) Patterson, Jimmy Ray (Peggy) Patterson, Billy (Maurica) Patterson, Clyde (Joyce) Patterson, Carl (Celeste) Patterson, Fred (Janet) Patterson, John (Ann) Patterson, Cotrell Burkett Jr., Baron Burkett, and Donna Burkett; as well as his aunt, Hattie Burkett Stackens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cotrell Burkett and Ivola Stricklin Patterson; his wife, Stella Fanello Stricklin; his ex-wife, Leola Stricklin; his brother-in-law, George Barnes; his grandparents, Shed Stricklin, Ellis Chamber Stricklin, Andy Burkett, and Hattie Reinhart Burkett; and aunts and uncles, David (Clara) Stricklin, James (Luedora) Stricklin, Sam (Centhia) Stricklin, Howard Stricklin, Viola Stricklin Taylor, Gracie Stricklin Robinson, Lloyd Burkett, Veedolph Burkett Stovall, Seldon Burkett, Edison Burkett, Gladys Burkett, Thomas Burkett, Eskell Burkett.
