
Howard William Hoffman, 82, of 954 Washington St., died March 25, 2001 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, following a two-year illness. Mr. Hoffman was born December 16, 1918 in Prospect, Ohio, the son of Jesse Franklin and Christina Kibler Hoffman. Mr. Hoffman was a Farmer and retired from Galion Iron Works and was a member of Elks, Moose and Eagles.
Surviving are his wife of sixty years, Rena Eloise Clark Hoffman; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse and Shirley Hoffman of Mansfield; Terry and Deb Hoffman of Cocoa, Florida; and Mel and Dee Hoffman of Wooster, with whom he made his home; thirteen grandchildren, Sherrie McMillan of Galion; Tammy Schrader, Jim Hoffman, Jason Hoffman, Joshua Hoffman, Jonathon Hoffman, Christina Hoffman all of Shelby; Jesse David Hoffman of Mansfield; Tara Griffis, Bill Hoffman, Travis Hoffman and Rena Dianna Hoffman all of Cocoa, Florida; and Alan Hoffman of Topeka, Kansas; and nineteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Howard Clark Hoffman; one sister, Theo Mahaffey and his granddaughter, Jennifer Hoffman.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Wednesday March 28, 2001 from 7-9 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services which will be held on Thursday March 29, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
