
Imogene R. Cox, age 75, of Mansfield, died Sunday morning March 6, 2005 at Country Meadows following an extended illness. Mrs. Cox was born April 9, 1929 in Ezel, Kentucky living in the Mansfield area since 1949.
Surviving are a son, Ronald and Catherine Cox; a daughter Shirley and Mark Jeffery; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Francis Ross of Columbia, South Carolina; Donnie and Betty Ross of Shelbyville, Kentucky; Paul and Miranda Ross of Salt Lick, Kentucky; Charles Ross of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; eight sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine and William Stuchell of Mansfield; Orene and James Mattox of Belden, Mississippi; LaVern and Samuel Murphy of Frankfort, Kentucky; Carolyn Brewster of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Wanda Ross of Frankfort, Kentucky; Agnes and Holly Rowland of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; Brenda and Otto Compton of Paris, Kentucky; Gail and Ben Coker of Lakeland, Florida; sisters-in-law, Velma Ross of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; Jan Ross of Hilliard, Ohio; three grandchildren, Wanda Fay Cox, James Brent Cox, and Mark Allen Cox; two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rollie and Flora Mae Puckett Ross; her husband, Allen Cox; brothers, Chalmer, Woodford, James, Linville, and Denzel Ross.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Funeral services conducted by Pastor J. Hudson Thayer, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Mansfield Cemetery.
