Imogene Miller, 68, of Lucas, died late Tuesday evening, July 20, 2004, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. She was born July 18, 1936, in Martin County, Kentucky to Sherman and Hazel Maynard Muncy and was a Mansfield area resident since 1958. She had worked at J & J Super Value in Lucas and Richland Hospital. Imogene loved gardening, cooking and attending flea markets.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Carl Miller; four children, Brenda Miller of Mansfield, Donna Peterman of Ashland, Carl Miller, Jr. of Lucas and Teresa Brown of Michigan; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Thurman Muncy, Herman Muncy and Arthur Muncy, all of Pataskala; a sister, Frances Sword of Illinois; and good friend, Mary McCallister of Lucas. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Pearl 'Cookie' Vanderpool and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday, July 23 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Bruce Copley. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery.
