

Isaiah Jones, 74 of Mansfield, died Wednesday February 16, 2005 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Jones was born to the late Issac and Lucille Jones on November 8, 1930 in Carrollton, Alabama. He retired from Mansfield Reformatory after 15 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cooking.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lillie Jones; four sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Pamela Shirley, Larry Jones, James and Debbie Jones, Albert and Nancy Jones; two daughters, Nancy and John Bonner, and Kathy and Wayne Holley, all of Mansfield; two sisters, Elizabeth Lang of Columbus, Mississippi; Lillie McGee of Tuscalooga, Alabama; 27 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and one special great granddaughter, Jaionna Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Isaiah Jones, Jr., and Johnny Shirley, Sr.; one daughter, Vivan Ann Jones; and three brothers, Joseph, William, and Jacob Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday February 23, 2005 at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 345 N. Main St. with Dr. Johnny Heckard officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 12 to 1 p.m., at the church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
