Iva Morehead

Iva I. Au Morehead, 92, of Mansfield, died Friday evening, July 4, 2008 at Country Meadows Care Center. Born December 7, 1915 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Elmer and Rena Kimmel Au. She attended Little Washington Congregational Church and First Congregational Church of Lexington. Iva enjoyed reading, traveling, crocheting, and caring for her cat Bow Bow.

She is survived by two sons, Elmer Millie Morehead and Gerald Morehead, both of Mansfield; two daughters, Evelyn Darrel Wilcox, Grandville, MI, Barbara Mangan, Mansfield; seven grandchildren, David and Tom Morehead, Kurt and Jeffrey Armstrong, Keri Flynn, Kevin Morehead, and Natalie Lentz; and eight great-grandchildren, Logan Morehead, Kyle and Ryan Armstrong, Christopher and Jacob Odson, Joren Lentz, and Cheyanne and Blake Armstrong. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard L. Morehead; and one son, Arthur Morehead.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, conducted by Pastor Dave Smith. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
