
Jack E. Burchfield, 52, of Mansfield died Sunday afternoon, October 19, 2003 at his home. He was born January 1, 1951 in Mansfield to Charles and Opal Webb Burchfield and was an area resident all his life, living in Oregon from 1978-1985. Jack enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking and arts and crafts. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Lozier Burchfield; four children, Jason Burchfield and Stacey Burchfield, both of Portland, Oregon, and Brian Burchfield and Christopher Burchfield, both at home; two grandchildren, Shyla Burchfield and Alexis Hambrick; two brothers, Ron and his wife, Jennie Burchfield and Roger Burchfield, all of Mansfield; mother, Opal Burchfield of Mansfield; father, Charles Burchfield of Marblehead, Ohio; special cousin, Paul Greer of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday, October 22 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Faith Proietti, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Military graveside services will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
