
Jack L. Dixon 69 of Mt. Gilead, died Saturday, October 23, 2010 at his residence. Born October 20, 1941 in Galion, he was the son of Jack Walker and Dorothy Deisch Dixon. A Cleveland Browns and Ohio State University fan, Jack loved football as well as other outdoor sports including hunting. He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke with those around him. Jack was proud to be a sergeant for the Morrow County Sheriff's office where he retired after 14 years. In his spare time, Jack loved to cook and spend time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol I. Burger Dixon; children, Linda Mayes Jeff McKean, Cathy Biglin, Jack Walker 'Scott' Patti Dixon, and Stacey Jeff Lybarger; grandchildren, Dustin Price, Adrienne Dixon, Kara Dixon, Amber Kegley, and Abigail Lybarger; great grandchildren, Payton Geddes and Bryson Beloat; and his mother, Dorothy Dixon. He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Morrow County Hospice.
