
Jacqueline Lee Young, 76, of Galion, died Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Mill Creek Nursing Home in Galion where she was a temporary resident. Born March 25, 1934, in Caledonia, she was the daughter of John William and Leah Mae Griffis Steele. In April 1949, she married the late Harold James Young. Jackie attended Iberia and Galion schools and lived most of her life in Galion. She worked as a practical nurse at the Atwood Nursing Home and at the former North Electric of Galion and Wire Assembly in Bucyrus. She was a manager of Galion Community Clothing Outlett for over 6 years. Jackie was also a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Crestline.
Surviving are her children, Diane Dick Wise, Barbara Ann Kendall Ralph Henry Young and Harold James Wendy Wilcox Young; grandchildren, Santanna Justin Boston, Jennill Wise and her fiancé Billy Paul, Lisa Jimmy Renfro, Craig Wise and Kelleyann, Debbie Marie, James Corey and Ryan Adam Krichbaum; 17 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful dog, Stretch. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold James Young; a daughter, Linda L., who passed away shortly after birth; a grandson, Mark Wise; and a son-in-law, Ronald Ross Kendall.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield conducted by Rev. Christopher Thomas. Friends may call one hour prior to the services, from 2:30-3:30, at the funeral home on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
