
James Hanners, 40, of Mansfield died Monday evening, October 8, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Mr. Hanners was born July 26, 1961 in Richland County to David and Anna Horsley Hanners. James was a loving, caring husband and father who was an excellent cook and loved the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Trudy Hanners of Mansfield; four sons, Gordon Hanners of Mansfield, Josiah Findling of Galion, David Hanners of Lexington, and Brandon Taylor of Crestline; step-son, Joshua Hall of Mansfield; daughter Courtney Hanners of Lexington; step-daughter, Natasha Carey of Lexington; mother, Anna Hanners; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael & Karen Hanners of Mansfield, Russell & Chantel Hanners and David Andrew & Veronica Hanners all of Shelby; two sisters, Kathryn Griffith of Mansfield and Susan Hanners of North Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. His father, David Hanners and brother, Rodrick Hanners preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday, October 11 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday October 12, 2001 conducted by Elder Charles Wise of the Mansfield South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
