

James Edward Hoskins, 69, of Mansfield, died Friday, September 9, 2011 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born November 10, 1941 in Wilmington, Ohio he was the son of James Luther and Dorothy Imogene (Current) Hoskins. James was a strong hard working man with his wife of 48 years always by his side. He retired from A&R Freight Company as a truck driver. James enjoyed fishing and hunting and his canine companions, Baby Wart, Molly and Sammy. A true family man, he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judith (Kitts) Hoskins; his children, Kimberly (John Halko) Mann of Caledonia, OH, Rhonda Hoskins of Mansfield and Jeremy Hoskins of Mansfield who always called him “Pa”; a brother, Jackie (Bonnie) Hoskins of Mansfield; a brother-in-law, Harvey “Buster” (Hope) Kitts of Mansfield; special friends, Orville “Elmer” and Mary “Melba” Steward of Mansfield; numerous nieces and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James L. “Jimmy” Hoskins; and a brother, Thomas “Will” Hoskins.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Clifford Earl Tackett. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richland County Humane Society.
