James Powers

James "Jimmy" Coley Powers, also known as "Bubba" or "Pappy", 57, passed away February 11, 2009, unexpectedly at his home. Jimmy was employed at S&S Asphalt and enjoyed fishing in his free time. He loved making people laugh and was a very lovable person.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda; his mother, Jeri; his daughter Pam; his son, John; and granddaughters Brittany, Tiffany, Ashley, Kimmy and Brooklyn. He was the second out of his seven brothers and sisters, Dianna and Mike Chance, Dana and Dennie Godare, Roy and Lori Powers of Florida, Darline and Randy Dean, Bobby and Geneva Powers and Ricky and Joan Powers of Florida; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Deslow. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, Gary and Beth Schlupp, Laura and Shane Sealey, Joey and Becky Dean, Heather, Holly, Angie, Carmen, Jaime, Jessica, Shawanna, Lexx, Kyle, James, Dakota, Keelin, Brooklyn, Cordell, Aaliyah, Kayla, Austin, Tristen, Ariella, Joey, Jr, and a very special son Skippy and many family and friends.

There will be a service held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009, at Lincoln Heights Freewill Baptist Church, 512 N. Stewart Road, Mansfield, OH.
