
James H. Windham Sr. Pig, 55, of 136 W. Dickson Avenue died September 6, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield after a long illness. James was born September 21, 1945, in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Henry Lee and Annie Cameron Windham. He retired from Empire Detroit Steel in April 1994 after 31 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, playing with his grandchildren, and spending time with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 26 years, Linda Osborne Windham; three sons, James H., Jr., Julian B., and Albert L.; three daughters, Edith M. Windham, Stephanie J. Windham, and La'Kisha R. Windham; two special daughters, Tionna Perdue, LaTasha Washington, and a special son Telly Johnson, all of Mansfield; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Parris Brinda Windham, Roosevelt Anice Windham, Tom Marvaline Windham; Wallace Myra Windham, all of Mansfield, Harris Alice Windham of Corona, CA., and Floydzell Windham of Jackson, MS; two sisters; Lois and Brenda Windham, both of Mansfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Roseann Windham and Mattie Stevens and one grandson, Christian D. Majors.
The family will receive friends at 275 Buckley Ave. Friends may call at Community Temple Church of God in Christ, one hour prior to funeral services held at the church, Tuesday, September 11 at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Henry Bradley. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
