Jane Hartman

Born August 13, 1925 in Carrollton, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Elmer and Margaret (Kirkpatrick) Bearer. She grew up in Akron as a war child and married her husband, Robert in 1946. They moved to the Shelby/Ontario area where they had a large family farm. A helpful and upbeat lady, she loved getting together with her family but her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce (Dave) Ison of Oak Habor, Ohio and Jackie Dunn of Ontario, Ohio; three sons, Robert M. (Mary) Hartman of Pickerington, Ohio, Richard (Jeanie) Hartman of Ontario, Ohio and Jerry Hartman of Pickaway County, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Sherry, Cathy, Heather, Tonya, Brian, Christopher, Kevin, Sarah, Brett, Becky, Bradley and Ryan; 12 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; three brothers, Joe (Sue) Bearer of Akron, Ohio, Pat (Gail) Bearer of Fairfield, Ohio and Paul (Jean) Bearer of Canal Fulton, Ohio; one sister, Rita Reed of Akron, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews and very good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Hartman; an infant daughter, Elizabeth Hartman; a granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Hartman; and three sisters, Elsie, Doris and Edna.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Friday.
