Janet Stevens

Janet Lee Litteral Stevens, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 11, 2011, on which would have been her and her husband's 52nd wedding anniversary, after a long illness at MedCentral Mansfield. Born on December 30, 1942 in Grahn Kentucky, she was the daughter of Rev Clifford and Juanita Litteral. Janet was fun loving and full of life and had six children that she devoted her life to. She loved gospel music and attending church when she could. She loved family gatherings and every holiday was very special to her. Janet will be sadly missed by so many.

On April 11, 1959, Janet met and married the love of her life, Junior Ray Stevens who preceded her in death in 2008. She is survived by three sons, Brian Tammie Stevens, Timothy Kathy Stevens, and Darren Betty Stevens, all of Mansfield; two daughters, Tammy Mike Baldridge and Cheryl Stevens, both of Mansfield; grandchildren, Brian Amanda Stevens, Brandy Kevin Wharton, Darren Megan Stevens, Clarissa Randall Tackett, and Ashley Stevens; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Sara, Taylor, Kierstynn, and Kendra; mother, Juanita Litteral; sisters, Donna Frazier and Brenda Cooper, both of Mansfield, and Carolyn Dickerson of Marion; brother, Clifford Sonny Litteral; and a very special sister-in-law, Mary Stevens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Stevens; daughter, Rhonda Stevens; father, Rev. Clifford Litteral; sister, Mary Ruth; and a brother, Larry "Butchy" Litteral.

Friends may call Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Clifford Earl Tackett. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Cheryl Stevens at the funeral home.
