Janice Brown

Janice R. Brown, 79, of Mansfield, died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born October 23, 1931 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Edward O. and Lois C. Alger Ramsey. An area homemaker, Janice was a member of the First Congregational Church. She loved history, geneology and music.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey W. Brown of Columbus, OH, Joel E. Mary Jean Brown of Powell, OH, Julie K. Jeffrey Davis of Powell, OH and Jan C. Vicky Brown of Carey, OH; her grandchildren, Aaron E. Brown of Powell, OH, Joel Bernard Brown of Powell, OH, Sarah B. Brown of Cincinnati, OH, Andrew Davis of Powell, OH, Amy Davis of Powell, OH, Camilla Jesko and Jenna Jesko both of Carey, OH; a brother, Charles E. Dianne Ramsey of Essex. CT; and two nephews, Adam Rachel Ramsey of Palo Alto, CA and Kevin Elaine Conger of North Fairfield, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jay Brown in 1986.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Plymouth. Friends may call one hour prior to the services, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
