Janice H. Bucher, age 64 of Ashland, Ohio, died unexpectedly at her home. Mrs. Bucher was born August 26, 1940 in Cleveland, OH to the late William & Jeanette Jones Shoemaker, and has lived in the Ashland area the last 35 years. Janice was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Ashland, and also the Ohio Genealogy Society.
Surviving are one son, Joel Bucher of Washington, DC; one stepson David Bucher and Beth Beam of Seattle, Washington; a granddaughter, Thea Bucherbeam of Seattle, Washington; one brother, Frank Shoemaker of Westlake; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents and her husband, James Bucher, preceded her in death.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, and also one hour prior to the funeral services. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Richard Beal. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
