Janice L. Zody

Janice was a cosmetologist at the start of her career and the owner of The Aristocrat Beauty Salon. She then went on to be a cosmetology teacher at Madison Comprehensive High School, retiring in 1995. Jan enjoyed collecting dolls, antique shopping, hosting friends, as well as traveling. Ontario United Methodist Church was an important part of her life. Jan was involved in many church and community activities until late last year.

Janice is survived by her three children, Howard (Paula Orr) Zody, Lora (Ralf) Kennel, and Dean (Lynnette) Zody; her five grandchildren, Jacob, Andrew, Allie, Brian, and Megan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Dean Zody; her grandson, Gabriel; and siblings, George (Donna) York, and Wanda Meyer.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Peg Welch, will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 2:00 pm, also at the Ontario Home. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date. Contributions may be made to Malabar Farm - Al Zody Cut Flower Garden.
