Jerry Alan Robson Sr.,62, of Ontario, a loving husband, father, and grandpa, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 26, 2018. He was born September 19, 1955 in Oceanside, California but made his home in Ontario, Ohio. He was the son of Colleen and the late Jerry W. Robson.
A graduate from Madison High School, Jerry also studied business at Ohio University. He was an early entrepreneur, beginning his career in security in 1980. Jerry started Eyedent Security Systems, and in 1998 he launched Shield Alarm Inc., a company he owned and operated for 18 years. He was a writer, inventor, artist, and loved fishing. Jerry cherished the moments spent inventing toys with one of his closest friends, Greg Kopec. His book, toys, and art have been sold nationally.
We are most grateful for his relationship with Jesus Christ. He was a member of First Assembly of God where he and his wife taught Sunday School for 25 years. When asked about Jerry, his friends and family would tell you about his creative ideas, his love for making people laugh, and his selfless spirit. When recalling memories about loved ones, it's often told of the good times and funny stories. With Jerry, every story ended in a joke, a good time, or a positive and uplifting interaction that will never be forgotten.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Cathy (Poth) whom he was married to for 32 years. Also surviving, are his daughter, Jennifer Racer (Paul) of Ontario, Ohio; sons, JJ Robson (Cristina) and Jamey Robson of Orlando, Florida; brother, Jay Robson (Jeanie) of Mansfield; sister, Joy (Dave) Sauder of Lucas; and brother, Jason Robson of Phoenix, Arizona. He was a wonderful grandfather to four beautiful grandchildren.
Family and friends may call Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 pm, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Thomas Blair will be held in the funeral home on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 9:30 am. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to "MannaRelief" for children who suffer from malnutrition.
