
Jerry E. Trainor, 79, of Mansfield died suddenly Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born August 21, 1924 in Crestline to the late John C. and Irene Gearhart Trainor. Jerry was a 1942 graduate of Crestline High School and the owner of the former Wishbone restaurant. He dearly loved his family and his family dearly loved him. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Trainor of Mansfield; four daughters and sons-in-laws, Vickie and Don Shifflet of western Kentucky, Susie and Denny Kurtzman of Shiloh, Terry and Doug White of Lexington, and Jackie and Matt Marles of Bellville; a sister, Nancy Trainor; a sister-in-law, Charlene Hudgens; a brother-in-law, Robert Eichelberger; grandchildren, Don and Shelley Shifflet, Derek Kurtzman, Megan Kurtzman, Jason and Lori Wurth, Matthew Wurth, Nicole Wurth, Lee White, Wesley White, Steven Taylor, Jarrad Marles, and Kristy and Dan Hergatt; four great-grandchildren, Trace, Ashlee, Jake, Joshua, and one on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Shenandoah Christian Church, St. Rt. 13 North, Thursday, May 13, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. Tom McFadden, Rev. Kim Maurer and assisted by grandson, Matthew Wurth, World Harvest Bible College student. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
